Global Warming Project Extra Credit!
Here is how you can earn up to +10 Extra Credit points on your Global Warming project which, as you recall, counts as one test grade in the 4th Quarter:
Collect original clippings (no copies, no duplicates) from a newspaper or magazine (any print medium—not internet, not internet source printed out) on any of the Global Warming topics covered by the project. It counts even if the article is on a topic different from the one you are researching. Each clipping counts as one point extra credit.
Super bonus! Each article which refutes the concept of Global Warming (serious articles only) get +2 points each.
As examples of “clippings”, see the ones on the back bulletin board in the classroom.
How to submit the clippings: staple them to your 500-1000 individual write up which is submitted on first day of class after Spring Break.
OK to enlist parents, friends and relatives in the clippings hunt? By all means! Yes, get everyone you know searching for articles.
